FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Seattle - April 6, 2005 - iWebPress, Inc. demoed its content management system, iWebPress Education Edition, today at the annual Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association spring convention, making it the second time for the software to be viewed in a public arena since its official release earlier this year.
Company executives are excited that iWebPress Education Edition can be "shown off and scrutinized in front of a national academic and professional audience" at these types of conventions, where "the end users, primarily the students, can test it out and see how easy yet powerful it is."
After dozens of live product demos, company representatives commented that the largest hurdle for iWebPress to overcome will be advisors that are still intimidated by technology and think that anything dealing with the Internet or computers must, by default, be complicated. Nicole Moldovan, Director of Sales & Marketing at iWebPress, attended both this conference and the one in New York several weeks ago. She agrees that a challenge exists for the company, "breaking into a circuit traditionally dominated by non-high tech companies, where people just aren't used to innovative software packages showing up with a way to revolutionize the way they think about newspapers." However, she adds that this is what gives iWebPress its cutting edge. "If we weren't so unique, we would blend in with the rest of the industry. But we're offering something no one else can, content management systems designed specifically for publications in the educational market, and it's exciting."
The company plans to set up shop on each of the conference's three days to continue promoting iWebPress Education Edition, which was released in February. Representatives will also be sitting in on informative sessions for advisors and students, with hopes of getting a better idea of what this market needs.
